Mistle Thrush European Bird
Spotted In New Brunswick Tree
“A European mistle thrush that arrived in
Miramichi, N.B…. & decided to stay is attracting attention from birders
across North America. ‘This is the first record of this bird in North
America.,’ said Peter Gadd, the man who spotted the bird in a tree on his
property. ‘It is somewhat common in Europe & certainly people who have
birded in Europe are familiar with it.’ Gadd speculated the bird got separated
from its flock & was driven to Canada by strong winds & bad weather.
‘It’s a tough bird.’”
